Summary: At the NEVC2023, the 8th China New Energy Logistics Vehicle Challenge, KARRY's Elephant EV dominated the small cargo van (small truck) category, winning the All-Round Gold Award, Best Energy Efficiency Award, Best Endurance Award, Best Power Performance Award, Best Braking Performance Award, and the Media Recommendation Award, among 6 major awards!
This year, the new energy commercial small truck sector has introduced a number of strong new vehicles, with a promising market sales outlook. Many vehicle manufacturers have evolved from initially promoting products for scenarios to now customizing products for specific scenarios, creating a vehicle manufacturing ecosystem. KARRY new energy, as a well-known powerful vehicle manufacturer in the industry, launched its brand-new new energy small truck model - the KARRY Elephant EV, based on actual usage scenarios in the first half of this year.
The KARRY Elephant EV, built on the Chitu platform as KARRY new energy's first model, has attracted much attention from truck enthusiasts since its launch, with its sales volume in July entering the top five of new energy small truck models. This growth rate is not only supported by the KARRY brand's influence but also by the outstanding product performance of the Elephant EV itself.
At the recently concluded NEVC2023, the 8th China New Energy Logistics Vehicle Challenge, the KARRY Elephant EV participated strongly and secured the first place! With its outstanding performance, it directly won the All-Round Gold Award, Best Energy Efficiency Award, Best Endurance Award, Best Power Performance Award, Best Braking Performance Award, and the Media Recommendation Award in the small cargo van category (small truck category), once again proving that there are no weaklings under KARRY new energy.

In appearance, the KARRY Elephant EV adopts the same front face as its flagship model, the Porpoise EV, which is full and well-designed

For the upper body part, the Elephant EV offers 3 styles: fence, grid, and van, with the participating model being the fence type. Its fence dimensions are 3815mm×1820mm×380mm, with the length exceeding 3.8 meters, making it highly competitive among its peers. The extra-long fence greatly enhances the cargo box's loading capacity, also potentially increasing the driver's earnings.
In terms of load-bearing, the Elephant EV adopts a non-load-bearing body structure with a large beam, a 1.5-ton front axle + 162mm frame, and the vehicle's rated load capacity exceeds 1.4 tons, comparable to the load capacity of new energy light trucks. With a cargo box length of over 3.8 meters and strong load-bearing capacity, the KARRY Elephant EV can not only take on ordinary small and medium-sized cargo orders on platforms like LALAMOVE but also secure larger ones.

In terms of core battery, motor, and electric control system, the Elephant EV is equipped with lithium iron phosphate batteries provided by CATL and CALB, with the CATL version having a capacity of 55.7kWh and a working condition range of 251km, and the CALB version having a capacity of 56.67kWh and a range of 260km.
The model participating in the competition was equipped with a 55.7kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack from CATL, with an official working condition range of up to 251km, ensuring long endurance and reliable mileage. In this challenge, the Elephant EV's endurance was also powerfully verified, maintaining stability even under extreme load conditions and winning the Best Endurance Award in the medium-sized category with its outstanding endurance data!

In terms of the motor, the Elephant EV is equipped with a permanent magnet synchronous motor from Suzhou HuiChuan, with a rated power of 40kW, a peak power of 85kW, a maximum torque of 256N·m, and a top speed of 80km/h. The high torque ensures smooth starting and climbing during driving. The Elephant EV's performance in the challenge also proved its strength, easily passing both the acceleration and braking challenges and the climbing challenge, ultimately winning the Best Power Performance Award in the medium-sized category!
For the interior, the KARRY Elephant EV is primarily practical, with a mobile phone holder at the center console position, using bluetooth to turn the phone into the center control, and a reserved opening at the phone charging port. Additionally, there's a USB charging port under the center console for charging the phone. The high-end version is equipped with a smart screen and smart steering wheel, allowing truck friends to choose according to their needs.
Furthermore, the driving cabin width of the Elephant EV reaches 1760mm, with an interior width of 1498mm, nearly 1.5 meters wide, providing ample driving and riding space for truck friends, greatly expanding their range of physical extension, and being highly humanized.
Conclusion:
In the NEVC2023, the 8th China New Energy Logistics Vehicle Challenge, the competition in the small truck category was fierce, with many new vehicles just launched and many high-heat best-selling models. That KARRY Elephant EV stood out among many competitors and took the lead is undoubtedly due to its high-quality product performance and user-oriented practical design, which we believe will enable KARRY Elephant EV to achieve even more outstanding sales results in the future!
Finally, it's hard not to marvel at KARRY new energy's steady progress over the past few years, from KARRY Dolphin to the Porpoise EV, and now to the KARRY Elephant EV. Each step has been very steady, with each product based on market demand and featuring innovative highlights, creating one hit product after another. The challenge is not only a battlefield but also a showcase and the most important exchange platform for vehicle manufacturers. We also hope that in the next challenge, more manufacturers will bring sincere works to show and compete.
